Go find your coaches
Find people you can learn from, even before someone assigns you a coach. Choose a skill your current work requires and ask your manager or teammates who does it well.
Review the instructions and examples, then explain where you need help: “I’ve read the procedure, but I’m unsure how you decide which requests to handle first.”
Ask whether that person can coach you through a relevant task. If they cannot, ask your manager to arrange support. Start by watching how they do the work. Ask about decisions you cannot follow and request examples when answers are general.
Practice an appropriate part of the work with them observing. Thank them for the guidance you used and show what you changed.
The full behavior set lives in the Effective Questioning skillset.
